Garther in historic West Jefferson on April 2nd for a delightful evening of entertainment sponsored by the Ashe County Arts Council!
Corde Cantanti, or the Singing Strings, showcase a passionate blend of percussive accents and singing melodies both ancient and modern. The diverse talents of Corinne Cassini, Douglas James, and Hazel Ketchum come together at 7:30 pm. The concert takes place in the Gallery of the Ashe County Arts Center in West Jefferson, North Carolina.
Corde Cantanti mainly features the vocals of Hazel Ketchum, the guitar styling of Douglas James, and is completed by Corinne Cassini at home on the cello. The the group focuses extensively (but not exclusively) on Baroque music, and sometimes performs on a variety of historical and modern instruments including lute, guitar, cello, theorbo, and percussion.
