Mouth of wilson is a community that borders Ashe County, located in Grayson County in the nearby state of Virginia. Located just north of the state line, Mouth of Wilson is a part of the Blue Ridge Highlands area which is better known as the Grayson Highlands region of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Grayson Highlands State Park is around this region and is a hugely popular hiking spot with views of Mount Rogers and Whitetop Mountain. These are the two tallest peaks in the state of Virginia and some of the highest in the Appalachian range.
